I was thrilled that my room 1107 was on the ground floor with an ocean view and the pool was just steps away. At first the room smelled old, I passed it on because it was clean and I think it's good for a two night stay. I tossed and turned the first night and then woke up to something crawling on my face. Spring bugs were everywhere. He immediately went there and informed the reception. He returned my card for that night. I showed him photos of the bug and emailed his manager. Charni emailed me on (8-9-2021) and asked for a convenient time to call, my reply anytime. I have not heard from anyone until today (8-10-2021). Careful, don't stay here, my body is covered in itchy bites.

This was an unfortunate isolated incident. The guest was immediately contacted and immediate action was taken to prevent further incidents. The room was secured and professional pest control equipment was brought in. Heat treatment was applied and all surrounding rooms were checked. No further incidents have been reported since then. We take all bed bug claims very seriously and take immediate action to prevent infestations. Visually inspect bedding during room maintenance and schedule random room inspections by professional pest control technicians using a specially trained K9 as needed. We make every effort to maintain a pest and insect free environment. Unfortunately, the tourism and hospitality industry is vulnerable to such problems. With so many people moving around the world, there is always the possibility of some unwanted insects being carried in personal belongings such as suitcases, bags, etc. Travelers unknowingly help spread these insects in places such as airplanes, hotels, restaurants. , cinemas.. basically any place that is frequented by people. As I said, we take this very seriously. The last thing we want is for the entire hotel to be infested. Records show Gen Manger communicated with guest via email: August 9th, August 10th, August 11th and August 12th. I also called and left a message on August 11th according to my August 10th email.
Great location on the beach, spacious rooms with good facilities. Although I traveled alone on business, the hotel feels great for families - beach, outdoor pool, playground and large grassy area. Once things reopen after Covid-19 I will definitely be bringing my family and staying here.

Where to stay here as a pensioner for the holidays. The location, pool, view and breakfast were great. The Military Lodge is located in Coronado, CA. I would say the only negative is that for those who are not on a reservation there is a time limit in which you can book a room. I overheard the conversation and it seemed like the front desk staff were hooking up their friends with reservations while everyone else had to follow the rules.

Nice units, beautiful location. Excellent pool and beach. Very good. Reservations must be from a military point of view, but the stay is worth it if you can get in. The facility is very nice and clean. The beach is huge. You can walk to the historic hotel next door.

All Clear Given At Nab Coronado After Report Of Shots Fired
We came to San Diego in July for a family vacation, there were 6 of us. We booked an Air BnB outside of San Diego, which turned out to be very disappointing and not as described. My husband suggested staying at the Navy Lodge. I had to call several times to get 2 rooms, but during a busy time of year we were able to get last minute rooms and ours were ocean view! It's a beautiful place, my family loved Coronado, it was the highlight of our whole trip. The cottage was really nice, clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. I really appreciate that they were able to help me book 2 rooms at short notice. The view was breathtaking and we thoroughly enjoyed the beach. The facilities including the pool were great. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were also very nice. We were all very impressed! I absolutely want to stay at this Navy Lodge again!
I am currently renting a beach cottage in the North Island and am appalled that beach towels are not provided for guests. I was told I could buy them in the gift shop. Has anyone else had this experience? The Navy Lodge next door (where we were supposed to get breakfast and pool access as well as front desk services) provides towels to their guests but refused to provide my husband and I with any towels. Multiple phone calls to the front desk and supervisors did not resolve the issue.

The Navy renovated the 42-year-old Beachfront Lodge and expanded it to 305 rooms, making it the largest Navy Lodge property in the world.
For $40 million, the Navy demolished 90 rooms built in 1969 and added 205 nautical-themed rooms. It transforms the Naval Air Station North Island property from a beachfront Holiday Inn experience to a destination hotel.
Alan Ray, president of Atlas Hospitality Group, an Irvine hotel brokerage and consulting firm, said there are only a handful of properties being offered on the California coast.
He mentioned the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach and the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay – which are decidedly more luxurious. But it also costs just $375 a night.

A stay at the newly renovated Navy Hotel will cost soldiers and military retirees only $85 to $125 per night.
The North Island Hotel is set to quietly open in the first week of January. The grand opening is on January 25.
The Navy Lodge program is part of the Navy Exchange Service Command, which is known for its retail stores called Exchanges, which sell everything from socks to computers at discount prices. Command in Virginia is headed by a Navy captain.
Both the lodge and the store are considered benefits provided to active duty military, military retirees and their families. Room rates at Navy Lodges are 45 percent less than civilian hotels, and sailors save an average of 20 percent by shopping at Base Exchange.
